She is and always has been extremely involved in her community and schools through volunteer work.
Her philanthropic nature led her to join National Charity League, Cypress Belles Chapter, where she was very involved for 10 years, she served many board positions including president. Debbie Bates opened the first RE/MAX franchise in Montgomery County with her late husband, Ted Bates, in 1984. The office quickly rose to the #1 position in Montgomery County where it has remained since. Debbie has received many awards, including the Montgomery County Association of Realtors Community Service Award in 1995, 1997 and 2001. She was the Montgomery County Association of Realtors "REALTOR of the Year" in 1996 and received the Montgomery County Women's Council of Organizations Women of Distinction Award in 1995. More than 43 years in Houston gives Diana Underwood vast knowledge of neighborhoods, schools, shopping and other areas of interest. While she enjoys, and is most familiar with, the Heights, Bellaire and Northwest areas, no part of this vast city is off-limits to this hardworking agent.
“I go wherever my clients need me,” says Diana, who lives in the Northwest suburbs.
Prior to real estate, Diana worked as a treatment coordinator for an orthodontist. “I’ve worked with every possible personality over the years, and I’m very good at problem solving,” she says.
Real estate was a natural progression for Diana, given her people skills, interest in home design, keen knowledge of the city, and, most importantly, timing. “I was ready for a change and I’ve never been happier. Diana and her husband, Jeff, have two grown children.
